Events & Digital Marketing Specialist

Our client is a national law firm with offices in multiple cities across Australia. Delivering legal services in areas of insurance, health, corporate advisory, commercial law, employment law, commercial litigation and dispute resolution, their clients include leading local and international companies, a large number of professional organisations and hundreds of individual practitioners.
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, Marketing & Communications, my client based in a bright, modern CBD office, is seeking an Events and Digital Marketing Specialist to join its close knit and collaborative team.
This role will play an integral part in supporting business development and marketing activities – assisting to retain, grow and manage key client relationships and to raise the profile of the brand internally and externally.
There is also a possibility for this role to be split out into 2 part-time roles, namely an Events Specialist and a Digital Marketing Specialist both 3 days per week, with 1 or 2 days work from home.
Key Responsibilities
Events Responsibilities:
- Assisting the BD & Marketing team to develop internal and external marketing activities to raise the profile of individual practitioners, sector/practice groups and legal services – aligned with practice group business plans and goals
- Planning, executing and managing the logistics for a range of external events including conferences, speaking engagements, sponsorship, workshops, seminars, educational sessions, webinars, podcasts, networking events and social events
- Coordinating with vendors, suppliers and internal teams on logistical aspects of event management
- Assist in developing budgets and timelines, tracking expenses and ensuring events are delivered within budget parameters
- Work closely with other suppliers and internal teams to develop event collateral, promotional materials, signage, presentations, name badges and other materials
- Conduct post-event surveys where applicable
- Monitor and evaluate event feedback from attendees and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future events
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and emerging event management technologies to enhance client experiences
- Assist in driving content strategy to promote events
Digital Marketing Responsibilities:
- Assisting in drafting, editing and publishing content on the website, social media channels and intranet, and monitoring engagement across these channels
- Perform fundamental search engine optimisation activities (eg. keyword research/rankings, competitive analysis, analysis SEO industry best practice)
- Work with the BD & Marketing team to expand their social media presence to additional social media channels
- Leverage existing content through social media channels
- Monitor industry trends and competitor tactics
- Assisting in the creation, distribution and monitoring of email marketing campaigns
- Perform regular audits to identify issues and ensure all sites are optimised
- Produce monthly reports detailing engagement and activity across all social media channels
Skills and Experience
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a law firm environment
- Experience using email marketing programs
- Experience in search, online or digital marketing
- Experience in WordPress, Google Analytics and SEO
- Experience in LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok platforms
- Basic graphic design and desktop publishing skills with the ability to create and format work for use in newsletters, the website and intranet and other visual media would be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised
- Client focused approach with highly developed communication skills
