Our client, an established non-profit health services organisation, is seeking a Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join their team. This newly created role is a rare opportunity to make your mark and shape the safety culture across the organisation. 
  
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager and managing a WH&S Officer, you will oversee the development, implementation and continuous improvement of WHS policies, procedures, systems with a focus on the unique risks associated with the disability services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety strategy & implementation
  • Conduct risk assessments across all services and facilities
  • Implement and oversee appropriate control measures
  • Monitoring and reporting
  • Continuous improvement
  • Incident reporting and investigation
  • Safety advice and partnering
  • Develop and deliver training sessions

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety (such as Certificate IV in WHS, Diploma in WHS or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a safety management, ideally in the disability, community or health services sector
  • Leadership experience in promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing across teams
  • Confidence and the ability to implement strategies to influence and impact people at all levels in an organisation
  • Ability to communication with all levels of the organisation

You will be required to work across multiple sites, so you will need to have your own car and driver’s licence.
